2. Human Connection Task:
Talk to a parent about one of the following (or more than one) until you learn something new that you didn't know before:

1. What are your parent's dreams for you? What do they hope for you and your life?
2. What was life like for your parents when they were freshmen in high school?
3. What hopes/dreams do your parents have for themselves that they hope to realize in the next 10 years?
4. Who is someone NOT in your family who has been really influential in your parents' life?
5. What was your parent's favorite project that they did in school? Why?
6. What were your parent's thoughts when they saw you for the first time? When you took your first steps? Said your first words?

2. Human Connection Task: Much of Fahrenheit 451 is about how the people in the world are not used to spending time with their own thoughts. Set a timer for 5 minutes tonight and just sit. Don't read or listen to music or watch anything. Just sit until the timer goes off. What do you find yourself thinking about? Why do you think so?

Fahrenheit 451 Packet. Homework: Read until page 83, or until the line, "If there isn't something in that legend for us today, in this city, in our time, then I am completely insane." 

Artist Statement Suggested Questions: 
Some helpful guidelines for your artist statement: Who did you interview? How did the interview go? What was the process of your designs? What does each panel represent and why did you choose this for your interviewee? How did you work together to create this lantern? What kind of circuits/materials/colors did you choose and why? What is the most important/valuable lesson that you learned from this interviewee? What are the most memorable moments from the interview? (No more than 200 words)
