New Class Schedule (starts tomorrow)

DUE DATES FOR THIS WEEK

WOAH. June 9th and 10th are just around the corner.

Director:
-Block your piece/give your actors motivation- get rid of all the dull space in the piece. Be a fantastic audience member and don't be afraid to experiment with the piece and change things until you find the thing that works the best for each moment
-Decide where sound cues go and what kind of sound you want and discuss this with the sound designer
-talk to your costume designer and discuss what kind of costumes you are feeling for each character. Perhaps include the actor in this discussion.
-talk to scenic designer and discuss what needs to be found/built for your piece
-YOU, Sir or Madam director, are ultimately in charge of the overall cohesiveness of your piece. Make all the puzzle pieces fit together. Create theatre that moves.

Sound designer
-talk to your director and see what kind of sounds are needed
-find the sounds and edit them if necessary
-put them in order on a cd/label the cd
-go through a script and mark which track should be playing at which part and for how long
-visit rehearsals with your laptop and practice playing the tracks when they should be played

Costume designer
-talk to your director about what he or she envisions for the piece
-talk to each actor about what he or she feels the character would wear/get sizes for each actor
-go through the script and mark any costume changes
-try to synthesize what everyone envisions in one design. Sketch the designs in color
-present designs to the director for approval
-talk to carol about funds/begin purchasing (second hand) and sewing pieces

Scenic design/Props/Construction team
