Team Time!
Hour 1.
~Journal: Write an ANYTHING letter to Carol or Mr. Schwartz. Take out a sheet of paper and write a letter about anything to Carol or Mr. Schwartz or both of us! You can talk about things that you like so far, things that you don't like so far (we appreciate the feedback! We are here for you! We want to know if you don't like something), or anything at all! If you don't have anything to say, just tell us what you did all day yesterday, or write about your favorite movie or your favorite song. /Attendance
~Journal Collection
~Class Declaration Project: As a class, we will write a Declaration of Class Norms. We will do this by thinking through things ourselves, and then in groups, and then finally as an entire team. We will pattern the writing after the United States Constitution, with a preamble, 1 Article and 10 Sections. This declaration will be signed by everyone in our classroom this Friday.
~Class Flag Presentations
~Class Flag Voting
~Read the Constitution. Write a one page reflection on how you plan on living by these rules, specifically. How will you embody these plans? What behaviors are unacceptable under them? What behaviors are excellent under them? What will you do when you see behaviors that are not acceptable under them?
~Switch with a partner who will be your accountability buddy. Have the partner read your pledge and discuss it with each other. This should be someone you have not worked with.

Hour 2
~DP Chatting- Who has a DP already? Who doesn't?
~Open Work Time Choices:
   + Physics with Mr. Schwartz
   + Review of Chapters 1-4 with Carol (Prepare for the quiz!)
   + Work on TKAM Packet (you should be done all the way to Chapter 4)
   + History Bite Workshop with Lee
   + Help Loren, Solmanuel and Alejandra with the Constitution
   + Work on the official Class Flag
   + DP Teaching Workshop on Weebly:
   + Create your DP with Carol or Mr. Schwartz (Then, upload a picture of the Class Constitution, the class flag and your reflection on the following questions:
1. How do you feel about these final products? How much voice did you have in creating them?
2. How could you make these final products better?
3. What would you change, add or subtract from this project?

Team Time!
Hour 1.
~Preamble Editing: Take a look at all of the different preambles by clicking here! Then, take out a sheet of paper and write down your favorite phrase among all of the different preambles that is not in your own. Explain why you like it!
~Class Declaration Project: As a class, we will write a Declaration of Class Norms. We will do this by thinking through things ourselves, and then in groups, and then finally as an entire team. We will pattern the writing after the United States Constitution, with a preamble, 1 Article and 10 Sections. This declaration will be signed by everyone in our classroom this Friday.
~Preamble Editing: As a group, combine the different preambles into one.
~Categorizing the graffiti wall... what different aspects do we need to hit in our constitution?
~10 Rules Editing: As a group, decide what the 10 different sections of the class constitution are.
~In 10 different groups, word the constitution with the best writing you've got.

Hour 2
~Class Flag Individual Brainstorming
~In small groups, discuss what elements you would want in your class flag and draw a sketch.
~As a classroom, combine the different flags into another sketch.
~Likes and Improvements on the two flags

Hour 1.
~Pull out your list of 5 student and 5 teacher expectations. Silently put your 5 expectations on the walls. If it is already on there, do not repeat it--you may star it or circle it and write a comment explaining why you think this is a good expectation. If you disagree with something, circle it and draw a comment respectfully explaining why.
~Discussion of Graffiti Walls

Hour 2.

~Journal: Write 3 things that are true about a good classroom where people are learning. Write 3 things that happen in bad classrooms where people are not learning.
~Group Share: Divide your sheet in half with a good classroom section and a bad classroom section. Then, write down briefly what each member came up with. As a team, come up with 2 more good things and bad things. 
~Silent Think-Time: In bullet points, write things that good teachers do. What do you expect from good teachers? Mr. Schwartz and Ms. Cabrera will do the same for what good students do and what we expect from good students!
~Share Out: Teacher/Student/Classroom Expectations
~Remind about Field Trip Forms
