Story Title: Among The Impostures.
Author: Margaret Peterson Haddix.

This Quote doesn't really strike me but, I like it when people in stories get caught by other people that were sleeping but got awakened by what one of the characters did or said that woke who was sleeping up. The quote was by another character called Jackal Boy, "Did you --Did you just say what I thought -- you said?" He sputtered a few laughs, 'Leave me alone.' "Oh that's a good one, you stupid fonrol. You going to make me? Go ahead. Make me." I chose this quote because Luke didn't want to get caught because he would have to do several workouts if he got caught.

I really like the personality and the honesty in the quote you picked. This book seems very funny and entertaining to read. I was a little confused in the beginning ,on who was saying what, but other than that I was very interested!

This is a pretty funny quote Evan I love the fact that you take funny bits and pieces of your humorous personality into finding a quote like this. I can see why you liked this quote the suspense in seeing what will happen when the character is getting caught doing something wrong is very entertaining to read.

The book that I am reading is "The Strange Message in the Parchment" by Carolyn Keene. My quote from the story (on page 71) is "Further conversation was interrupted when Tony cried out and spoke excitedly in Italian. Dan translated, 'Run fast! My uncle is coming! He will be very angry! He doesn't like trespassers and may harm you. But come to see me again. Oh, please come to see me again!' "

Before I explain why I chose this quote, I probably need to give a summary of the story so far. In this story, Nancy has been asked by one of her friends to solve a mystery involving a parchment on which a series of images has been drawn. At this point in the book, Nancy and her friend Junie have been talking with a boy named Tony, who they suspect as the artist behind the series of images on the parchment. However, Tony only speaks Italian, so the girls have to bring Junie's boyfriend Dan (who is studying Italian).

Now to the quote. I chose this quote because it represents some of the challenges that Nancy faces in her sleuthing, and how she resolves these challenges.

I am currently reading Smoke gets in your Eyes: and Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty. One of my favorite quotes comes from the very beginning, page 8. "As i scraped Bryon's remains out from the cremation machine, i saw that the skull was still fully intact. Looking over my shoulder to confirm that no one living, or dead was watching. I carefully inched the skull towards me, i reached down and picked it up. It was still warm and i could feel the smooth dusty texture through the industrial-gloves." This explains that although dealing with sensitive material and topics such as death, the crematory is not some dark horror house. The crematory a place where the possible chaos of death can come to a peaceful and safe end. When Caitlin picks up the skull its quiet, its peaceful, some see it as looking death in the face but Caitlin simply continues the job.
I love this quote and what it means to me, for many people death and what happens after is scary, and many avoid to think about it but personally i think that everyone should be more comfortable around the idea of death, because it happens to everyone.

I can disagree that people should be more comfortable around the idea of death because it can make people scared/sad because of what happened to a very good or their best friend or someone they really really loved in their family. Death makes me uncomfortable because death is scary to a lot of people.

I think that your response to the quote is very interesting seeing you take a different approach and look from the character in the books standpoint. I like the reasoning you offer on why more people should be comfortable with death using your quote as proof.

I guess I kind of feel you death is always around us and at some point things will have to come to an end. Things coming to an end though suck for me I always hate it when stuff ends. In the other hand though things going to an end could be a good thing.

The book I am currently reading is Magnus Chase; The Sword of Summer. I really enjoy this story and its comedic values, so my quote is; “I hate this plan,” I said. “Let’s do it.” ― Rick Riordan, The Sword of Summer. I love this quote since it shows the main character's personality. Normally, you would expect that if they hate plan, they wouldn’t agree, but they still agree to do it anyways, even though they don’t agree with it. It also shows the comedic parts of the book (which at times there is a lot of), which might be some of my favorite lines to read. Usually, if I don’t find interest in a book, I won’t be able to read it without using an audio book or anything, but this book truly interests me in all ways. If you are into the idea of Percy Jackson, you will probably like this book, because I was drawn to it originally from Percy Jackson.

I know the book you are talking about, and I have read the Percy Jackson series and the Kane chronicles (another series of books by Rick Riordan). I feel like this quote is relatable to all three series of books because most of the time the characters hate what is going on around them, but they still have to deal with those events every day.

Crazy House
By James Patterson

“I was never afraid of falling. I knew Pa would catch me” (page 226)

The reason I chose this quote is because sadly in the book “Pa” is a old man, Becca and Cassie’s grandpa. They lost their parents when they were young, so Cassie and Becca grew up with their grandparents. Cassie especially is really close with Pa. However, Pa is now very old and is not reliable because of his age. I’m also very, very close with my grandpa. I grew up with my grandparents as well. My grandpa means so much to me, same with my grandma. So, this quote really meant something to me.

I am currently reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien. The quote I chose is (Page 77) “Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.” During this conversation Gandalf explains to Frodo that he didn't kill Gollum because he sensed that he had a greater role to play in the story of the one ring. This quote is a way for the author to talk about the fate of the characters. Their are parts to be played by the characters that some of the wiser, such as Gandalf, do not quite understand.

I decided to start reading a new book, and the begging has been presented with a very mournful tone because the narrators mother had Die. I decided to pick the quote "You only have one Mother". i found this quote to be prominent because it was really the first deep and meaningful thing I saw in this book. I can connect to this quote because I have a really strong with my relationship with my mother, whom is unconditionally giving and kind hearted and I am going o be so beyond devastated when she passes.

Whiskey words & a shovel
By r.h. Sin

"She is a storm, a magnificent force, writing her life's story, in lightning" Was the quote I chose from much earlier in the book, on page 7.

To be completely honest I chose this quote because the other quotes were about lose in relationship or other things that were about very heavy topics. I did really like the quote because I found so much meaning behind this small quote. I was very into the quote because I was able to connect to it in some personal way. When people can connect to a quote, or a anything from what they are reading, it makes the book or the quote so much more interesting. It would usually pull in the readers attention, making the reading want to continue reading. (opinion)

Reading log quote: “life is just death in slow motion”

Off the bat the quote already has a much deeper meaning. The reason I chose the quote was because its just something that you have to think about to understand. The quote has a darker and deeper meaning behind it which I thought was a bit dramatic for the book I was reading which was also another reason why it stood out to me. I feel like the quote is up to interpretation just because there's various ways to think about it. Another reason the quote striked me was because the character in the book who said it wasn’t a depressing person and was one of the most cheerful characters.

I felt this quote to be questionable as our society doesn't truly know what life is or what the meaning of life is. For example I we die, are really dead or not dead because we were never alive in then first place? These are the questions some of us humans think about when we hear the word life.

Quote: “I heard. But it was cool. I met Pelé”. -Nick
“NO FREAKIN’ WAY! REALLY?”

I really enjoyed reading this book a while back and I had a hard time deciding to speak upon this book or my current book ““The boy with the stripped pajamas” But moving on I choose that quote because Pelé is a legend in football history. This quote was also pretty iconic and funny hence why I choose it.Also, Pelé is believed to be the best footballer don’t the 1960.Nick Hall also didn’t seem to be amused when he met one of the greatest footballers ever but Coby on he other hand is freaking out that Nick met Pelé. I also have a connection to this, a couple of years ago Daniel and I played at a beach soccer tournament and we were fortunate to meet two famous YouTube soccer starts. As we caught up with the group we told the others and they began to freak out.

The quote I have chosen is "Thanks to film like Star Wars, movie makers were trying much more sophisticated special effects-- but doing them without computers was about as difficult as becoming a Jedi Knight."

This quote is very special to this book because he got so much funding from these movie industries and he realized that if they had not been there he would never have become the person he was. I found this quote very moving because of the face that he was just starting but they still gave him funding. He was very thankful for the funding. I found it very amazing how much work he had to put into these electronics before he even got noticed even more getting any funding. He is an amazing person he made apple. He has made an amazing company and everyone who loves apple should thank him.

Hyperbole and a Half
By Allie Brosh

"And finally - FINALLY - after a lifetime of feelings and anxiety and more feelings, I didn't have any feelings left. I had spent my last feeling being disappointed that I couldn't rent Jumanji.”

I choose this quote because I has comedy and a tone about depression. In this book 2 of the main themes are comedy and depression so this quote capsules the book a little bit. In the book this is the moment that the author gets over her depression because she was tired of feeling and spent her last feeling being disappointed that she couldn't rent a movie that she wanted to watch.

The Things They Carried
Tim O'Brien

"You can't fix your mistakes. Once people are dead you can't make them undead." (41)

I picked this book back up from a hiatus of not reading at all this break and immediately this struck me. It makes you think of how important such a vital mistake may be. Some things are irreversible. It makes you value life a bit more, remembering that you only have this one chance. There are no do-overs.

The book I am reading is the alchemist. A quote I decide to choose is this one (Page 73 on a pdf file)"My heart is afraid that it will have to suffer, the boy told the alchemist one night as they looked up at the moonless sky. Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself and that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams”. This means that no matter what even if you are afraid to do something you should always do it and give it that chance.
I choose this quote because people have fear of doing a lot of things today. Fear of those things is what’s stop people from doing amazing things that could be life changing. I see it in others and myself we seem to have a fear of failing in a way.

Title: Lord of the Flies
Author: William Golding
Quote: “The greatest ideas are the simplest.”

I chose this quote because it can relate to pretty much any of us when we have a task or a project we are working on. When your working on a project or assignment and your having a hard time coming up with a idea or just a way to figure out what you're going to do you don't always have to have the best idea or the most incredible idea. All you have to do is keep it simple and just be you.

Overthinking is not a great thing. It makes you spend to much time looking deep into one thing that can't continue or has no end. While just taking a look on the outside can give you a better view. Great ideas are simple when broken down. Great ideas start simple and constantly gain more simple ideas to make it better. Working against Overthinking is difficult as it is self conscious, but working against it will reveal so much to you. It has been something I have been trying

Book: The Picture of Dorian Gray
Author: Oscar Wilde

Quote:"The reason I will not exhibit this picture is that I am afraid that I have shown in it the secret of my own soul."

I found this quote really interesting. To me when I first read it, it seemed very deep, but once you think about it its a very simple quote with a very simple concept. Most of everyone has something that they really love doing. For some people its sports and for some its painting or drawing. Now imagine not wanting to show other of this hobbies of yours because it makes you feel like people will see straight through you. I'm really into videography and I can't imagine not wanting to show others my videos and maybe its because I haven't made an extremely good one or maybe because its just not the same thing. Either way I just find the meaning behind this quote mind blowing and interesting.

I think it is cool the way you thought it was complex at first, but then when you thought about it, you realized how much it connected to you. I as well am into videography, and photography (as you know). I think it is such a great quality to have to not be scared to present and share your work but thinking about it I think sometimes I am scared to show the videos and photos I am most proud of to people when they are right in front of me. Not really because I think they are going to dislike it, but because watching them react is scary. When you post it and just get comments, it is just you reading what they thought, not their exact facial expressions. Overall, I thought that the quote was super cool and could be applied to anything that anyone likes to do.

Failure
Philip Schultz

“I didn't know how to be so young and not belong anywhere, stuck among so many perplexing melodies” (Schultz 3).

I chose this quote because it was about a time in the author’s life where he was debating taking away his life. He was broke, and hiding from the Vietnam War inside a church in Paris. He was hurting while others around him in this town he loved so much were living luxurious, carrying their poodles around with diamond collars. He is in the center of it all, without anyone noticing his pain. When he talks about the perplexing melodies it tells the story of this city where it screams tunes of lavishness and pride, while his mind is playing a sinister song of defeat. He didn’t belong there, or for him anywhere, but he belonged to the melodies.

Book title: The House On Mango Street
Author: Sandra Cisneros

In my book it was hard to find a quote that could relate to Sandra because I wanted to explain things about her book she made. It has a very interesting start. “She doesn’t want to write a book that a reader won’t understand and would feel ashamed for not understanding. She thinks stories are about beauty.” - Sandra Cisneros

Sandra said this because she talks about poetry and how many things are different from each other. She thinks that people that put a lot of effort in work, need to have time to at least read a story. It all started her talking about her office in a child’s bedroom, but she writes in the kitchen and had 50pages done. The pages that she made, Sandra thinks that its not a novel, but making a story, a poetry is something she wants the readers to explore in each and every sentence. A book for the readers to be admired, interested it like a herds of clouds grazing overhead. She talks about the progress she had done to make this book go publish. Also in the book Sandra said “ I worked on little stories for comfort when I wasn’t writing poetry for credit.” It’s so the sentences are pliant as branches and can be read in more ways then done.

I really like this quote because of how true and honest it is. So many people focus on the negative aspect of themselves or situations. This quote is very inspiring in those situations. This piece of advice in the book pushed a character very far. There is something to be said about confidence and how it can get you far in life. This quote also encourages you to embrace all parts of you. Especially the parts that you are not to fond of.

I really enjoyed hearing about this quote.
The part "Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you" is really awesome. Not only does it have a cool literal meaning having to do with armor and swords, but I think it has a poetic meaning. Your right, this quote is super true and honest. It is also inspiring and embracing.

"All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes, a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king"
(Tolkien, J. R. R. “Chapter 10: Strider.” The Fellowship of the Ring, Unwin Hyman, 1987)

This quote, its not exactly a quote, but a poem in the book 'Fellowship of the Ring' Our main character, Frodo receives it in a letter from Gandalf. It has many sayings in it for just being a small poem. Talking about how those who may seem to be doing stuff at random may have a reason. It speaks of how not everything is how it seems. Those that may look bad may have much value. It's the users decision to crack deeper or not. Those who aren't trusted don't have to stay trusted, if you spend the time to dig around. Trust can be found. Even in the darkest of times, there is a leader. That leader's job shouldn't be to control the others. It's to protect them. It speaks out to me especially, I have had trust issues in the past and possibly still do. But, this poem had a more heavier impact on me when it came to trusting more. Of course it couldn't have done it alone, but it was one the thing that helped me to started changing as a person. I live with this quote, and I will die with it.

Book: Flowers for Algernon
Author:Daniel Keyes

“P.S. please if you get a chanse put some flowrs on Algernons grave in the bak yard.”(Page 306)

I choose this quote because I feel like it best summarizes the story and brings up common things that interest readers well. It shows that even a slow adult like Charlie Gordon can have empathy and learn to empathize for others. It also reminds readers that Charlie took a huge risk undergoing the intelligence surgery, and It was unsuccessful. He had the same surgery as Algernon the mouse and feels a connection to him because they are one in the same. This quote even makes me a little emotional because it is a touching moment when Charlie who has lost everything, is still thinking of others.

Overall, this story is super interesting and touching and I really enjoyed reading it.

Author: Mary E. Pearson

This book that I read was a really intresting book, its the third book of a series. I chose this quote because the main character said it and it basicaly sums up what the whole plot consept was about, "Where I go and what I do is still my choise to make" Even when things were looking bad and she was forsed into a big commitment that she never agreed to she escpaed it and made her life the way she wanted it. The way she was able to lead a whole army by herself in a war against a really powerful and feared kingdom, and won. She has a really stong and admireable personaity.

I really like the quote because it’s about making your decisions. And your responsible for what happens when you make the decision. Basically your life is based on the decisions. Of course there’s gonna be some ups and downs but as long as you keep making the right decisions you’ll be fine.

The book I am reading is called The Hobbit. My quote is said by the main character Bilbo. "Now it is a strange thing, but things that are good to have and days that are good to spend are soon told about, and not much to listen to; while things that uncomfortable, palpitating and even gruesome, may make a good tale, and take a deal of telling anyway." When I first read over these words I didn't understand what they meant. It explains that when something good happens its easy to tell everyone it happened and they are not going to be very interested in your good happenings. But when things that are scary happen its hard to tell everyone of your experience but it makes a fine tale if you tell it from the beginning to end. I chose this quote because I thought it had a deeper meaning that one has to think about before completely understanding. That's my favorite part about books finding out whats not blatantly told to you.

Identify ONE quote in your book that struck you. Show us the quote in MLA format and then below it in a new paragraph, write 5-7 sentences about why you chose this quote. What stands out about it to you and why?
Book: An Ember in the Ashes
Author:Sabaa Tahir

In the bookit takes place in a dystopian society, the author wrote a quote about thats stood out, it said,
" my soul is already free, it was free when I decided dying for what I believed in was worth it."
This stands out because in the book main character #1 was sold in to slavery to find her brother and to figure out who killed her family. Main character #2 is a soldier that wants to quit the army he works for but if he leaves they will kill him so he ran away with the slave girl to save her brther and to find a better place to live away from the city they were staying at.

My book is Graceling by Kristin Cashore. The quote I chose was "She almost couldn't breathe at this extraordinary statement. She wondered vaguely if this is how her victims felt, to get kicked in the chest." This quote is from what the main character thought after she was lied to. Usually, this main character would hurt victims, but this time she was hurt by words from her closest friend. This is interesting because it shows emotionally pain by comparing it to physical pain, and shows how they could be the same thing pretty much.

Book: Unbroken
Author:Laura Hillenbrand

“We just sat there and watched the plane pass the island, and it never came back," he said. "I could see it on the radar. It makes you feel terrible. Life was cheap in war.”

I chose this quote because I feel like this quote I can connect to my life. The reason because of that is because metaphorically I can connect it to something that has happened to me when I was little. This quote also stands out to me because this could have been a huge turning point in the story. They end up on a Chinese torture camp but eventually heroshema comes and they get saved by the nuke because the war ended.

The book that I’m currently reading is 13 reasons why. The author is Jay Asher. The quote that I found striking is “Thank you.” - Hannah Baker. (Pg:282) I found this quote striking because these are Hannah’s final words on her tapes. After exposing the lies of her classmates and accusing them of sharing the responsibility for her death, she thanks them for listening to the tapes. Hannah’s final words were “thank you”.

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right”. "What is your type anyway?"
"Old, rich, unimaginative blonds with steady careers."
This one almost slips by him. Then he catches it. "Well, I could dye my hair. And I'll get old eventually."
She actually laughs. It's a tension-releasing kind of outburst.
"Believe me, Hiro, I'm the last person you want to be involved with at this point."

I really like this section of the book because it has humor. Hiro *might* be trying to hit on an old friend, or he is just messing around. That's kind of his character. Young, impulsive, and intelligent hacker that wields twin katanas. Plus it starts to give a little background behind his relationship with Juanita.

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life: Volume 1
Bryan Lee O'Halley

“I don’t listen to that much music, and, I mean, I know a lot of kids who play piano or whatever, but you guys rock.” (O’Halley, Bryan Lee. Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life)

I chose this quote because this line from the book is very out of character for Knives, the high school girl who says this line. Though I have only just begun reading this book, I have a pretty good understanding of Knives’ character. She isn’t super open about her life, and when she says she really likes something, she means it. During this part of the book, she is listening to her boyfriend Scott play guitar with his friend Kim, who plays the drums. She seemed not too interested at the start, but while listening to Scott & Kim both play a song together, you can see Knives’ face light up like never before. After hearing them play, Knives goes up to Scott and proceeds to say the quote above. It is very genuine, and let’s the reader know that Scott is indeed very talented.

Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari

The book I am reading is Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari and the quote that really struck me is “Culture tends to argue that it forbids only that which is unnatural. But from a biological perspective, nothing is unnatural. Whatever is possible is by definition also natural. A truly unnatural behaviour, one that goes against the laws of nature, simply cannot exist, so it would need no prohibition.” This quote stood out to me because it shows that almost all rules of human society are completely made up. For example, from the beginning of human civilization we have had anti gay/lesbian views, often punishable by death. But, there is nothing actually physically preventing a man and a man or a women and a women being in relationship together. The only reason it has been forbidden is because social beliefs. This really stands out to me because it makes me question how are humans and animals naturally? Are we naturally empathetic or are we quite discriminatory?

Book: Rest in the Mourning by R.H. Sin

"and even though you'd like to hide the truth that lives deep within you, even though you'd like to keep your sadness at bay fooling those who surround you with the strength of your laughter and the size of you smile, you can be honest with me. You can allow your tears to fall upon these words. I won't judge you because I understand you. I won't judge you because I care."

This quote really stuck a cord with me. Everyone hides what they have encountered and what they fear. I value honesty, and the end of the quote shows that. The end of the quote really comforts me and tells me its going to be okay. It stuck with me because of personal experience and a comforting feeling knowing that someone is there for you, or a soon to come feeling of that.

I chose the quote,
“Kahlil said it’s about what society feeds us as youth and how it comes back and bites them later…”
I really like this quote because it applies to what happens in the book and this generation. In the book, the society the characters lived in was the society that this generation lives in today. For example, our society affecting us is expecting females to be perfect but then treat them like they belong in the kitchen and not being able to vote or own businesses. Women are held to a higher standard than men are. But now we have women as state senators and presidents of their own country. In our society women who were adults in 1960 weren’t treated fairly but now we can apply to colleges like Harvard, vote for our next president and so much more! Our society is slowly changing for the better.

Book: 4000 Miles

My quote is "I find if you approach people with love and trust you can count on getting the same things back from them." (Page 19)

I really like this quote because I believe that people should really focus on giving and receiving. It shows how treating people matters and will affect you later on, either in a good or bad way. Whatever you put upon others is the same as what you're going to get back, and people should think about that. I try to show kindness and positivity, so I can receive that as well. I feel like some people expect good things to come to them, even if they are not "approaching people with love and trust," as the quote explains.

They do not know anything because they are uncomplex. They consume water molecules and other microbes, and then they expel air molecules and divide into new microbes. They do all of that without knowing why, without knowing that we are here in the same galaxy as them, and without even knowing that they are there. They don't even know about themselves."

"The town was paper, but the memories were not"-Quentin Jacobsen (pg.125)

I chose this quote because it caught my attention as I was reading & I kept going back and re-reading the same sentence.I kept looking back at it because this quote has deeper meaning then readers might actually think.I also liked how a few simple words had me think about what I just read and what the author meant by it.This quote stands out because the author was trying to say that if your thinking about leaving a place you don't want to be in anymore your also leaving relationships and memories that were created their. The main part about the quote was the last part and how memories will never be forgotten where ever you go.

Reading through a beautiful composition of broken by r.h. Sin. I found this piece of poetry titled, in gardens we wait. I love the hidden message of to find the right one they have to get past your thorns first and that just speaks to me I connect with this so much. Cause I feel love for others, I so easily look past thorns and look more at the beauty of the person. From reading "Whiskey Words & A Shovel", by R. H. Sin, I can tell that all of these quotes have meaning. I completely agree with you, everyone has flaws, or moments that flare up. At the worst possible times they might ruin something, but to find a person who will and can walk with you through this times, is an especially rare find. It makes me think about the quote from Marilyn Monroe, " But if you can't handle me at my worst then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best." It's in correlation with R. H. Sin, a person can look at your flaws(thorns) and then at the complete you(rose) and they continue to stay with you even though you harbor these flaws, then you have a match.

Book: Martial God Asura
Author: Shan Liang de Mi Feng

Quote: " Even Buddha would strike back after being hit three times."

In the most recent chapters this quote was used to make the reader more knowledgeable about the temperament of a person. Especially the one that keeps getting provoked by the people that invited him. This quote can represent a variety of things. Personality, patience and character are exposed to the victim. In the book, an unexpected judgement day comes to the one who provoked him, and was given the worst punishment possible by his own father. The amount of arrogance that the younger generation displayed was realized through the countless provocations towards a person. The main reason why I chose this quote was because no one is able to take 3 attacks without harboring any resentful feelings, especially ones done by a stranger.

Quote: “First comes smiles, then lies. Last is gunfire.”-Roland

In this book The Gunslinger by Stephen king I chose this quote Because through out all of the book it slowly tells the back story and everything that happened to the main character (Roland) and this is one of the parts where it refers to the “bad guy” ( the man in Black) and it starts to unveil the history between them two and how the man in Black betrayed him and how the whole dilemma started. It also stands out to me because this type of stuff happens to people in a regular basis when best of friends become the worst of enemies and from happiness to “Gunfire” aka anger and regret. In this book the two men with this conflict where very close and became enemies in almost a instant which shocks me because that could happen to anyone at any second

I think everyone should try and live like this, focus on the future and not be caught up in the past. This struck me because I thought it was astonishing how much detail could be put into just two sentences. Also, how much writing Clive wrote for just describing words about a harbor. I chose this quote because most good memories are made from involmet from other people. If you look back on your life most good memories that stick out to you are usually ones with friends and family. The quote brings up the loneliness of not sharing the memory and holding it in. if you don't share the memories you have you may not connect with others on a emotional level. 1. The main character is cathy she is really social she loves all of her friends and is taking extra curicular classes durring summer break, but her intentions for going isnt just go learn shes looking for sombody but when she actually meets him and he reconises her she acts like if it was their first time meating and says that shes not who he says she is. So maybe if she conffesed to who she was scince the beggining she could have avoided everything bad that happend later on, that if she was honest all of those dissastes and heart aches wouldnt have happend.
2. if I brought her home to my family my parents would probaly greet her with a loving welcom and treat her as part of the family as they always do with everybody.

Book: The Unloved by: John Saul
Quote “ ‘Love me,” he whispered, his voice so tremulous that he could hear the words wither away as quickly as they left his lips. “Please love me ….”” pg 3
Comment: I chose this cause in the book, this man has never been loved by is mother and has a recurring dream that his mother is trying to kill him. This quote is just so sympathetic and he says this line right before he gets to when his mother pulls an axe over his head, he’s scared if you couldn’t tell by the words chosen in the quote. He just wants to be loved by his mother and this book so far is so odd but I just love the way its starts.
Question: How would you picture this scene playing out in a movie?
