Week of January 7th
Hello Fabulous 9th Grade Family!
We’re so excited to have you all back. Please read this letter thoroughly as it includes POL signups, some supplies that are needed, and some field trips that we need drivers for!

*Thank you for such a beautiful exhibition! Parents and students and families were all so amazing during our December evening together. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS
POL SIGNUPS
Please, please sign up for POLs! THEY ARE NEXT WEEK! Due to the nature of POLs, we cannot do before or after school, so please plan accordingly and sign up for the best slot for you and your family. POLs must be done in front of an audience.

SUPPLIES: BOOK FOR HUMANITIES
Students will begin To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee on January 21st, following the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Please pick up this book before you return! Both 9th grade teams will be doing this text in Ms. Howard and Carol’s/Alden’s classes. 

CAROL/SCHWARTZ: FINAL MAKEUP WORK
All students on Carol/Schwartz team who have makeup work should plan on coming to office hours on Thursday, January 9th. We will not expect any other late work. Please attend and turn it in during office hours on Thursday or make an appointment. 

JANUARY 31st BELMONT PARK
Please log into PowerSchool and sign the field trip permission slip for our field trip to Belmont Park. Please send the $20 field trip fee to Mr. Schwartz or Ms. Howard on your respective team! 

JANUARY 31st FIELD TRIP DRIVERS!
Please email Carol at [email protected] or Ms. Howard at [email protected] if you are able to drive and how many seats for students you have. We are departing at 9am and will return by 3:30pm. 

OFFICE HOURS FOR THIS SEMESTER
Your teachers are available for one on one help during office hours! 
Mr. Jacob’s office hours: Wednesday after school
Carol, Schwartz, Mike and Ms. Howard’s Office Hours: Thursday after school 

ACADEMIC COACHING
Visit Ms. Sara and Ms. Jamie after school for some support in your classes! 
Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch is academic support in the conference room upstairs with Katelin, Jamie, and Sara! Head over there during lunch if you need some support! 

WINTER FORMAL 
January 25th is Winter Formal. Winter Formal is open to all students, so purchase your ticket from ASB when you get an opportunity! We’re excited to see you all dressed up! 

ADVISORY HOME VISITS
Check in with your student’s advisor to schedule your home visit!
