“You're the only person I've ever met who can stand a bookstore as long as I can.” ― Junot Díaz

Howdy from New York! I am staying at a hotel that has a restaurant that serves both sushi and Italian food. What a whimsical combination!

You have your packets from yesterday, and you have your Fahrenheit 451 books, or you have the online text here: Click me! I'm the online text!

You've got two options as a class:
ONE] **EXTRA CREDIT COLLABORATION OPTION**
Do as we would do! This means, pick someone to choose readers, read the text out loud whole group, stop and answer the questions together and share some of your answers out loud. This requires you to work together to make it actually happen, and you don't get the extra credit if the teacher there has to intervene. Make like a village-use that mutual trust, respect and responsibility- and work together to make it happen! I will give extra credit in the collaboration realm to the classes that can do this.

TWO] **GET IT DONE QUIETLY, QUICKLY, EFFICIENTLY**
Grab your packet! Grab your text! Grab your music if you've got it, and sit quietly (really, silently is probably the better word) and dive deep into Fahrenheit 451! It's such an awesome text, and reading can be so lovely in solitude, too. Take some time and practice the art of being alone in your own mind! Concentration here is important, and it will make it so you don't have to do any work over the weekend!
